Lisa Markman, Ph.D
is the Associate Director of the Education Research Section at
Princeton University, the Outreach Director for the Future of
Children Journal, and a Lecturer at the Woodrow Wilson School.
Her research interests are in developmental psychology with a
focus in education. Prior to working for Princeton, Dr.
Markman was the director of The Norwood Beacon Youth Center, a
city-funded program that provides free, quality services to
youth and their families. She has received specialized training in
psycho-educational and psychological evaluations. In addition, she
has worked as a Spanish teacher for the New York City Public
Schools. Dr. Markman is a NYS licensed psychologist and NJS licensed
school psychologist. She
received her Ph.D. in Applied Developmental Psychology from
Fordham University.
