The
Education Research Section, the Program for African American Studies and the Woodrow Wilson
School are co-hosting the 5th Annual
Minority Student Achievement Network Conference with the Princeton Regional
School District.
The conference will be held Thursday, September 30 through Saturday, October 2,
2004 in Princeton and will involve
approximately 150 African American and Latino high school students and their
chaperones from school districts across the country. This year the conference will focus on the anniversary
of the Brown v. Board of Education decision. Carlotta Walls LaNier, one
of the members of the "Little Rock Nine", will be the keynote
speaker. A faculty panel from Princeton
and students from the Woodrow
Wilson School
will also be working with the high school students to help develop policy
recommendations related to Brown.
